Getting your size right

Sizing belongs to the brand and the seller. A few checks before you buy can save you a return.

The Journal: Getting your size right

Every product on LASTLOOK is sold by someone else, so the fit is theirs: the brand cuts it, and the seller's size chart and returns policy apply. A minute on the seller's page before you pay is the surest way to avoid sending something back.

Sizes on LASTLOOK

A product's quick view shows the sizes the seller lists, and marks sizes that were out of stock when we last checked their listing. Stock can change after that, so the seller's page is the final word on what's available.

When you choose a size, we pass it on where the seller's product page lets us select it for you. If it isn't selected when you arrive, pick it again there.

Check the seller's size chart

  • Go by measurements, not the number on the label. Compare the chart's bust, waist, hip or inseam with something you own that fits well.
  • Look for fit notes on the product page, such as “runs small” or “relaxed fit”, and the model's height and size where they're given.
  • Check the fabric. A stretch fabric and a rigid one in the same size can fit very differently.

Australian, UK and US sizes

As a rough guide, women's clothing in Australian sizes usually matches UK sizes, and US sizes usually run four below: an AU 10 is typically a US 6. Shoes use their own systems, which differ between brands, so check which one the seller uses before you choose.

Know the returns policy

Returns are set by each seller, not by LASTLOOK, and some sellers treat sale items differently from full-price ones. Check the seller's returns and exchange policy before you buy, especially if you're between sizes.
